Communications and Outreach

The Communications and Media Section provides communications, branding, publishing and events management services to the organization. It is responsible for positioning UN-Habitat with a positive corporate image in the public, in media and the urban development arena. This section ensures that public relations and development communications elements are fully integrated in the strategic plan and programmes and capacity for communications is developed across the agency. It further ensures that the manner in which events are hosted or co-hosted by UN-Habitat are part of the agency’s outreach strategy and raise the profile of the work and impact of UN-Habitat, create awareness of sustainable urbanization and the Sustainable Development and promote partnerships.
